Our travel day was fairly uneventful. Both flights (SFO to Dublin and Dublin to Paris) were smooth and on time. Getting through customs was a breeze and we found the RER station at the airport without any problems. Had to transfer trains once, but everything went smoothly. I have my fellow travelers convinced that I'm a navigational wizard! We didn't get lost once and walked straight to our apartment building from the train stop. (Family, don't snicker too loudly even though you know how directionally challenged I am.)
After getting settled in, we walked to a neighborhood restaurant and had an absolutely wonderful 2.5 hour, 3-course dinner. Didn't get back home until 10:30 pm. Living the continental lifestyle!
